"I just recently had the great opportunity to experience the 1 day photography workshop for beginners at PH studio with Palle and Tony instructing. It was honestly more than I could have hoped for. First of all, you get to work with a live model and really get a feel for how to interact and instruct them to get the shots & imagery you are looking for. The instructors chose a great model for us who was easy to work with. The part I really appreciated most and hadn't even thought about before was the instructors teaching you how to set up all the different light equipment from scratch, and what the different effects are. You get to really experiment with different ways of introducing light onto a set. You also get to set up your own set, and get that granularity for how everything works. And given that it is the manipulation of light which is key to good photography, this was really important so that you can go to any studio and know how to confidently set up everything and take great photos. The third aspect that is great is learning about the technicals of the camera, how to get setup and really achieve the aesthetics you are looking for.

Overall, the instructors are just really nice guys. Very laid back and professional - you get to ask all the stupid questions (which I did!) and they give you good answers to everything. It is also just a very enjoyable way to spend a day whether you intend to get very serious about photography or if you want just want to see if this is something for you. I would really recommend it, and I have stayed in touch with them and will hopefully get good enough under their guidance to do high quality fashion shoots." by Sumaer Grewal
